The adidas Adizero Adios 9 are competition and fast training shoes designed for runners who are looking for a very direct feel with the ground, explosive response, and extremely low weight. This ninth version makes a significant leap by incorporating a full Lightstrike Pro midsole, offering a more dynamic and efficient stride without resorting to a carbon plate.

They are especially recommended for short and medium distances, excelling in interval training, tempo changes, fartleks, and 5K and 10K races. They can also be used for half marathons by efficient and light runners, although they are not the most suitable option for marathons due to their low profile and lower level of cushioning. They are ideal for runners with refined technique who land on their midfoot or forefoot and are looking for a fast shoe for asphalt and compact urban surfaces.

The upper uses LIGHTLOCK technology along with an ultralight technical mesh that provides excellent foot support with the lowest possible weight. The fit is precise and performance-oriented, with a relatively narrow last in the forefoot area. The construction minimizes unnecessary elements to promote lightness and a competitive feel.

The midsole is made entirely of latest-generation Lightstrike Pro foam. This configuration provides a high energy return capacity, a very fast response, and an agile and reactive running feel.
