Adidas Terrex Agravic SL W

The Adidas Agravic SL are trail running shoes designed to offer a very natural transition from asphalt to trails. They combine generous cushioning, a dynamic stride, and great versatility, making them an ideal choice for daily training, door-to-trail runs, and short to medium-distance competitions on less technical terrain. Their concept is very reminiscent of the successful asphalt Evo SL, transferring those agile and fluid sensations to the world of trail running.

They are aimed at light to medium-weight runners, although their level of cushioning allows them to also be used by heavier runners for regular training. They perform particularly well for distances from short workouts to mountain marathons on forest trails, compact paths, easy trails, and mixed routes that combine dirt and asphalt. They are not the most suitable option for very technical, rocky, or muddy terrain, where there are more specific models within the Terrex range.

The upper uses a very breathable and lightweight Engineered Mesh technical mesh that offers an excellent combination of comfort and support. Adidas has incorporated seamless TPU reinforcements to improve durability and foot fit, while the padded collar and partially integrated tongue provide comfort and stability during long hours of use. The fit is relatively wide in the forefoot, facilitating the natural expansion of the foot during running.

The midsole is constructed with the latest generation Lightstrike Pro foam, Adidas' most advanced compound to maximize cushioning and energy return. It offers a reactive and dynamic feel, maintaining a pleasant touch even on long runs. The shoe also incorporates a nylon rigidity element in the midfoot that improves stability without losing flexibility in the forefoot, while the rocker geometry promotes a fast and efficient transition.

The outsole uses high-performance Continental rubber, one of the most renowned compounds on the market for its excellent grip in both dry and wet conditions. The lugs, between 3.5 and 4 mm, have a versatile distribution that allows for confident performance on a wide variety of surfaces, from fast tracks and compact trails to gravel roads and moderately uneven terrain. Their design prioritizes versatility and durability over extreme aggressiveness.
