CARBON X2 by Hoka One One

Today we're going to talk about a pair of shoes that will make us fly, whether we're competing or doing long-distance training. These are the Carbon X2 from Hoka One One .
The highlight of these shoes is the incorporation of a carbon fiber plate that provides great responsiveness without sacrificing cushioning or comfort. This is further enhanced by a superb fit .

The Carbon X2 has excellent cushioning thanks to the use of PROFLY technology in the midsole and the position of the carbon plate in a lower layer.
In this new version, we find a heel segmented into two peaks (instead of being a rounded protrusion as in the predecessor), thus giving it a more aggressive design and lightening the weight .
In this model, the brand has decided to narrow the forefoot area and widen the heel area, making it ideal for heel-striking runners.

This model offers a perfect fit and great support thanks to its tongue. It also offers excellent breathability .
The outsole is made of EVA , providing extra cushioning and light contact with the ground. Another important feature of this model is the added protection around the Achilles tendon .

It's also worth noting that the Carbon X2 is one of the most stable and secure carbon plate shoes on the market . The function of the carbon plate in this model differs quite a bit from that of other brands. In other carbon plate models called hyperflyers, the plate is curved in several planes to create a trampoline effect. However, in the Carbon X2 , the plate has a bathtub-like curvature that maintains the shape of the midsole to reduce energy consumption during transitions .

They are very versatile shoes since, as we've said, they can be used for both training and competition . They can be worn by elite runners as well as amateur runners who run at moderate paces.
They are recommended for light or medium weight runners looking to achieve competition paces and good performance .
If you're a fast or light runner with good technique, these shoes will be faster, easier to wear, and better for shorter distances (10 km or less). However, if you're fast, they'll work for half marathons or shorter ones.
