The Salomon Genesis is a trail running shoe designed for runners seeking a combination of comfort, protection, and versatility on technical terrain. It's ideal for those tackling medium to long distances on mountain trails and mixed terrain. Its design focuses on providing a precise fit and excellent stability without compromising performance.

The Genesis upper is made of a highly breathable technical mesh that promotes ventilation, keeping the foot cool and dry even in warm conditions. It incorporates Sensifit technology, which adjusts the shoe to the contours of the foot comfortably and securely, while reinforced material in the heel and sides provides greater protection against obstacles on the trail.

The midsole uses EnergyCell+ foam, which provides effective cushioning without being overly soft. This makes it suitable for long distances, as it offers comfort with every stride and helps reduce impact on the joints. In addition, the 3D Chassis technology provides stability and extra support, facilitating better control on uneven and technical terrain.

As for the sole, the Genesis is equipped with the Contagrip system, which features an aggressive, multidirectional lug pattern, providing excellent grip on a wide variety of surfaces, from rocky trails to muddy or wet terrain. The rubber used is durable and wear-resistant, ensuring the shoe maintains its performance during extended periods of use in demanding conditions.
